Easy Grade Terms of Service
Use it, enjoy it, double-check the important stuff
The Short Version
Easy Grade is a grading calculator made by Objective Jellyfish, LLC. These terms are the agreement between you and us about using it. By downloading or using Easy Grade, you're agreeing to them. If you don't agree, that's completely fine — just don't use the app.
What Easy Grade Does
Easy Grade does the arithmetic of grading so you don't have to. It's a convenience tool, not an authority. You're the teacher: the grades you record, report, and stand behind are yours, and you're responsible for them. Please double-check anything that matters before it goes on a report card. We've worked hard to make the math right, but we can't promise the app is free of bugs, and we're not liable for a grade you entered based on what the app showed you.
Using the App
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Easy Grade on devices you own or control, for your own teaching or personal use. Please don't redistribute it, resell it, rent it out, reverse-engineer it, or pull it apart to build something else out of it. Don't use it to break the law, and don't try to interfere with or overload the servers behind it.
Purchases
Easy Grade is free to download, and offers a one-time in-app purchase called Remove Ads. That purchase is handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play, not by us — they process the payment, send the receipt, and handle refunds under their own terms. The purchase is tied to your store account, so if you need to restore it on a new device, the app has a restore option. If something goes wrong with a purchase, the store is the place to start, though you're always welcome to get in touch and we'll help if we can.
Ads
The free version of Easy Grade shows ads through Google AdMob, which is what pays for the app's continued existence. Our Privacy Policy covers what that means for your data. If you'd rather not see them, the Remove Ads purchase takes care of it.
What We Own
Easy Grade — the app, the name, the icon, the design, and the code — belongs to Objective Jellyfish, LLC. These terms don't transfer any of that to you. Anything you create with the app is, of course, yours.
Changes and Availability
We may add features, change features, or retire them, and we may stop offering the app or a particular version of it. We'd rather not surprise anyone, but we can't promise the app will always be available, always work on every device, or always keep every feature it has today.
The Legal Part
Easy Grade is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Objective Jellyfish, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of your use of the app. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the app, which for most people is nothing.
Your Rights as a Consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live. If you're in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or anywhere else with mandatory consumer rights, those rights still apply in full, and anything above that conflicts with them doesn't apply to you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the bottom of this page. Continuing to use Easy Grade after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, in the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules — again, except where the consumer protection laws where you live say otherwise.
